MDS Intrepid and Intrepid Ultra High Capacity Point to Point 2.4, 5.4, 5.8 GHz Unlicensed and 4.9 GHz Licensed
The proliferation of IP devices and applications have resulted in a backhaul bottleneck where the channel size required to carry data efficiently exceeds the network's capacity. The MDS Intrepid combats this challenge by providing higher capacity (25 Mbps to 200 Mbps), reduced interference, Quality of Service (QoS) and simple deployment options. The Intrepid is a cost effective, scalable, reliable and hardened backhaul solution that operates in the 2.3-2.4 and 4.8-6.0 GHz bands. In addition, Intrepid shares bandwidth between TDM and IP traffic, allowing for a smooth TDM to IP migration.
MDS Intrepid HC and Intrepid HC HP High Capacity Point to Point 6-38 GHz Licensed
The MDS Intrepid HC is a highly scalable, modular, secure and cost-effective platform that incorporates the latest microwave technologies for higher transport efficiency and throughput. Intrepid HC provides high speed wireless backhaul in the licensed 6-38 GHz frequency bands and provides capacity from 50 Mbps to 1 Gbps across a flexible combination of IP and TDM interfaces and supports OC3/STM1 interfaces. The MDS Intrepid HC can be configured with (1+1) redundant standby or space diversity deployment.
MDS Intrepid P2MP High Capacity Point to Multipoint
5.4 and 5.8 GHz Unlicensed
The MDS Intrepid P2MP high capacity point-to-multipoint wireless backhaul solution is ideal for commercial-grade applications where longer distance and higher capacity at multiple sites is necessary. Intrepid P2MP provides highly secure, time sensitive and mission critical communications, and backhauls this information back to a central point. The MDS Intrepid P2MP supports Ethernet communications, extended range (up to 25 miles) and aggregate throughput of up to 50 Mbps per subscriber. MDS Intrepid P2MP also enables scalable solutions through sectored base station capabilities, 60, 90 and 120 degree sectors, with up to 16 subscribers and up to 200 Mbps aggregate throughput per sector.
